The Presidents’ Panel will bring together community college presidents for a timely discussion on the critical role Michigan’s community colleges play in advancing Workforce Development and Career and Technical Education (CTE). The session will explore how colleges are responding to evolving workforce needs, strengthening partnerships with employers and industry, expanding access to high-demand career pathways, and preparing students with the technical and professional skills needed to succeed in today’s economy.
Panelists will share perspectives on emerging workforce trends, innovative approaches to CTE and workforce programming, employer engagement, credential attainment, and strategies for aligning education and training with regional and statewide talent needs. The discussion will also highlight the leadership role community colleges play in supporting economic development, addressing skills gaps, and creating opportunities for students, incumbent workers, and employers.
